Safety and Care Information – Vests & Bags

Warnings and Safety Instructions

  • Training vests/bags are intended for carrying dog training dummies, balls, game and related equipment.
  • It is not protective clothing, personal protective equipment (PPE) or a life jacket.
  • Do not use the vest or bag for lifting, securing or dragging people or animals and do not use it for climbing or safety-critical purposes.
  • Do not overload the vest or bag; distribute weight evenly to avoid discomfort or damage.
  • Adjust straps and closures for a secure and comfortable fit that does not restrict movement, breathing or circulation.
  • Keep loose straps, cords and plastic or metal parts away from your dog’s mouth and from moving machinery to avoid entanglement or chewing.
  • Regularly check the fabric, seams, zippers, buckles and other parts for signs of wear or damage.
  • Stop using the product and replace it if it is damaged (torn fabric, broken closures, loose or missing parts).
  • Not a toy for children.

Important Usage Notes

  • Use only for its intended purpose – as a vest or bag for dog training, field work and transporting training gear.
  • Do not store sharp, very hot or corrosive objects inside the vest or bag.
  • Remove wet, muddy or heavily soiled items from the pockets as soon as possible after use.
  • Do not modify the product (e.g. cutting off structural parts, replacing buckles with non-original components), as this may reduce safety and durability.

Care and Maintenance

  • Empty all pockets and compartments after each use and shake out dirt, sand and plant material.
  • Gently brush or wipe the outside and inside with a soft brush or cloth; do not scrub aggressively.
  • Do not use bleach, fabric softeners or aggressive cleaners.
  • Do not tumble dry; air dry in a shaded, well-ventilated place away from direct heat sources.
  • Do not iron.
  • For vests and bags made from polyester and cotton fabric - Hand wash only. Do not machine wash. For cleaning, use lukewarm water and a mild detergent.
  • For vests and bags made from waxed cotton - Do not machine wash, hand wash, dry clean or tumble dry. Brush off dried dirt and mud with a soft brush. If needed, wipe the surface gently with cold water and a sponge only, without detergent or soap. Re-wax the outer fabric periodically with a suitable wax dressing to maintain water repellency and protection. Over time you may notice lighter, dry-looking areas on high-wear zones (pockets, seams, front panels). This is a sign that the wax coating is wearing off and these are the areas you should focus on first when rewaxing.

Storage Recommendations

  • Store the vest or bag in a dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • If the product becomes wet, allow it to dry completely before storing.
  • Avoid long-term contact with oils, solvents, chemicals and sharp objects during storage.
  • Keep out of reach of children when not in use.

Recycling and Environmental Responsibility

  • This product may contain cotton, polyester or polyamide fabric, webbing straps, foam padding, plastic components (such as buckles, zippers, adjusters) and metal parts (rings, sliders, rivets).
  • At the end of its life, dispose of the vest or bag in accordance with your local recycling and waste regulations.
  • Where available, textile parts (nylon/polyester fabric and webbing) can be taken to textile recycling or disposed of in residual waste if no textile collection exists.
  • If possible, separate plastic buckles and clips and place them in the plastic recycling stream, and metal parts in metal recycling, if such options are provided locally.
  • Do not burn the product and do not dispose of it in nature.
